About One-Cloth-One-Membrane
One-cloth-one-membrane protects one side only, so it is lighter and cheaper. It suits smooth bases where the membrane will receive a separate protective layer (concrete slab, masonry or additional geotextile) above.
Orientation matters: place the fabric face toward the side that needs protection or friction, and verify against the design before installation.
