About Tunnel Waterproof Board
Tunnel waterproof board is installed between the initial support and the secondary lining to stop groundwater entering the structure. It must accommodate deformation and maintain watertight welds under long-term water pressure.
EVA is the mainstream choice for its flexibility and weldability; HDPE is used where chemical resistance matters; ECB balances flexibility and weathering. A nonwoven buffer layer is normally placed beneath the board.
